Instructors will act as group leaders. The group consists of 6 students in the immersion program. The group decides together which activities they will participate in, when and where they will meet and any details. The group leader will direct the French curriculum, make corrections, offer suggestions and help the group work together. The group leader must be objective, open-minded, enthusiastic, gregarious and an excellent problem solver. As a group leader you will work for three weeks in June-July and three weeks in August with two weeks off between sessions. Each day you will work 3 hours in the morning and between 2-3 hours every afternoon. Evenings and weekends are off unless you are hired to do a special contract.
We are looking for instructors who…
finished a Bachelors or Masters in French or Education or another field from a French university in Quebec,
speak and write the French language extremely well,
lived in the Baie-des-Chaleurs region for a least a few years,
acquired some teaching experience with English students either as an FSL teacher or a similar experience,
enjoy meeting people of other cultures or have traveled,
enjoy sports and recreational activities,
have a driving license and an impeccable driving record.
