Learn French in Quebec Canada with Immersion BDC
Would you like to try sailing?
Sophie Martel has always been passionate about sailing and adventure. She is an accredited instructor with the Canadian Yachting Association, the Sailing Federation in Quebec and Femmes de Vent. As an adolescent she was an instructor for small sailboats and she has been the owner of larger sailboats for over 25 years navigating between the Antilles and Quebec.
Sailing Packages:
PARLER EN NAVIGUANT (5 half days)
Come and enjoy the basics of sailing while taking advantage of the wonderful landscape around the region of Carleton.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 1pm to 4pm or 5pm to 8pm
Cost: $ 300 plus tax
JE PARLE ET J’APPRENDS (10 half days)
Always in a relaxed atmosphere, learn new vocabulary and acquire certain abilities in sailing a large boat.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 1pm to 4pm or 5pm to 8pm
Cost: $ 550 plus tax
EMBARQUEZ EN CROISIÉRE (2 days) 2 person minimum
Speak French, learn the basics of sailing, experience navigation and get a taste of life aboard a sailboat for 2 days.
Schedule: Saturday morning 9am to Sunday at 4pm.
Cost: $ 300 plus tax.
Notes
- We only take small groups of 4 people.
- Half day activities can be in the morning, afternoon or evening.
- For the 2 day cruise, students must contribute to costs of food and port charges
if there are any.
- We offer a simple learning manual for sailers in French for the cost of $ 30.
This manual is essential for studying for a theory exam for the Canadian Yachting Association.

sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, water, shoes without dark soles, towel and bathing suit, warm clothes, wind breaker.
